Sunday Worship in our Sanctuaries
Updated: May 7
Sunday Worship in our Sanctuaries: With thanks to Catherine Ann Dickson for allowing us to edit and repost her comments, we offer the following continued safety measures for in-person worship in our pastoral charge: Although most public gathering restrictions have been lifted by our government, Dr. Morrison reminds us that the virus is still very prevalent in communities all across our Island, it remains very transmissible and that we need to proceed with care. We wish to assure our community that the health and safety of you, and your loved ones matters to us. Therefore, as we gather to worship within the Mount Stewart - Morell - St. Peter's Bay Pastoral Charge we will continue with the following safety measures: - Wearing of masks will be encouraged. - Providing hand sanitizer and encouraging its use. - Encouraging as much social distance as possible from those not in our bubble. - Refraining from physical contact, i.e., shaking hands, hugging. - Positioning the Offering Plates at the entry of the sanctuary. - Minimizing contact between persons when offering the elements during Communion Services. - Regular cleaning of high touch surfaces. As we move forward into this next phase of the pandemic, as followers of the Way of Christ Jesus, may Christ's call to us to "love God and one another" inform and guide our care for each other. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to be in contact.
